The Satellite Instrumental Music Foundation (SIMF) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to supporting the students and directors of the Instrumental Music Program at Satellite High School. SIMF provides essential resources such as new instruments, repairs, and event support, and coordinates fundraising activities to enhance the music program. Membership is automatic for parents and guardians of students in the program, and there are no membership fees. SIMF invites all members to participate in meetings and volunteer for various activities to ensure the continued success and growth of the instrumental music program.
The President is the chief executive officer, overseeing all activities of the organization. They preside over meetings and are an ex-officio member of all committees.
The Vice President is a key member of the Executive Board, stepping in for the President when needed and performing tasks assigned by the President or the Board.
The Treasurer manages bank accounts, financial records, organizes all financial activities, prepares the annual budget, ensures timely deposits, and presents financial reports.
The Marketing Coordinator handles meeting notifications, correspondence, and manages the organization’s website, social media, and marketing efforts.
